Good evening, ladies!
I had a good NT scan today and decided that I am finally ready to join this group after lurking for quite some time.
I am Ricola, almost 30 years old and live in Southwest Austin. I moved here 2 1/2 years ago from Germany, where I am originally from. MH and I are expecting baby #1 around the end of December after 15 months of TTC and an IF diagnosis and could not be more excited!
I am looking forward to chatting with you all! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask ![]()

Our Family Blog
Thank you!
Yes, I remember you, too! :-) TTGP and 3T were my homeboards.
Oh, cool! I was born and grew up in Oldenburg which is in Lower Saxony. For the last 3 years that I lived in Germany I moved to Bremen, which is about a half hour drive away from Oldenburg. It's both pretty far North. :-) Where is your H from?
He's from Wermelskirchen, which is 40 minutes outside of Koln. (Also near Remscheid which is where the Haribo outlet is.) We make sure to stop there when we visit!
Welcome! How did you happen upon Austin all the way from Germany??
We have a FB Group if you haven't joined already

Thanks again, what a nice welcome!
I met my husband on the German equivalent to facebook while he lived in Germany (he is from Oklahoma City originally and was working in Germany for a while). We met up after 3 months of e-mails and fell in love. :-) He moved back to the US when his job was over and I followed 9 months later with a one year "exchange student" visa. My job offer happened to come from the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin on 7th and Congress. So we decided to move here together and from there it all just worked out somehow :-)
What's the name of the facebook group?
That's so romantic! Do you have an accent? I love accents.
I do have an accent, but apparently not the typical German one. People usually guess that I am from the Netherlands!
Hehehehe, we still need to reschedule that GTG! Thank you for the welcome!
