My baby (14 weeks) is having less breastmilk and more formula. She's on Gentilease. Seems to be very gassy, farting a lot, doesn't settle after she eats. Not as happy in general since introduced more formula. Her stools are not loose but rather hard. I know formula can be constipating but it seems like it isn't agreeing. My mother said I had to have soy formula when she stopped nursing me. Had milk allergy I outgrew around age 7.
Anyone experience this? Thanks in advance!

This isn't always true, some babies can handle nursing when the mother eats the allergens but can't break them down on their own when they are given directly. I do agree with PP though to definitely talk to your Pedi. My DD didn't show signs of a milk protein allergy until we started supplementing with formula. She was only fussy and had poor weight gain as symptoms when I was nursing and ingesting milk and she has a severe milk protein allergy.
Call your pedi and maybe even speak to a GI.
It's possible to be allergic to cows milk and be ok through your milk but still have the allergy -it really depends how strong the allergy is.
Try soy or another milk/soy free formula. But do call your pedi today.
