Re: Land's End Canvas bags

  • Hey!  I don't know about the Land's End bags, just wondering if you're in NY now? :)

  • Hi!  Well, we were there for 8ish weeks and just got back to CA on Sunday.  We are staying but my husband still has to go back and forth for the next 2 months.  I am so sorry we never met up!  How is the east coast treating you?
  • I have the LL Bean Canvas bags.  I imagine they're the same.  Everyone I talked to (customer service included), told me to spot clean them.

That said....one got REALLY dirty.  I threw it in the washer - it was either that, or never use it again.  I'm happy to report, it came out just fine!!

Oh bummer, but I'm happy for you that you're home!  We got back last week from a CA visit so I'm very homesick right now.  Did you like the UWS better than park slope?

  • Yes!  The UWS was so much better.  So much to do and just a great area.  We were lucky enough to live in a building with tons of families and made some wonderful friends that I'm sure will be life-long friends.  How is NJ?
  • I have always just tossed them in the wash. I even machine washed my old LE canvas briefcase when I carried one. Came out great. I love LE bags-- they are virtually indestructible. I am using my old diaper bag as my knitting bag now.
