Re: Anyone have a Kinderwagon?

  • I've read good things about them from people.  I actually just purchased one in May from Tots on the Go (one of the listed retailers on their website).  They were sold out, but said they were just getting some in this week and they would be sending it out as soon as they got them in.

So if you are interested, I would imagine they will be getting them back in stock soon!

I will let you know how I like it once we try it.  I'm planning on using it for getting them in/out of daycare (right now I am using the double snap n go) and other short trips.  I have the big valco tri mode twin + toddler seat for trips to the zoo, walks around the neighborhood, etc.

  • I think Goldie has one, I'm sure she'll chime in soon. :)

  • Goldie has one - she uses it for DC drop offs, you might want to page her.  I seem to remember her buying it of Zulily.

From what I understand, it's not really for infants... so you'll need something in the interim.

  • I have one and bought it through Zulily. We just pulled it out last week since the girls are starting to sit up better unassisted.

I took it for a spin in the neighborhood and had no complaints. The primary use for the stroller for me is going to be daycare drop off and pick-up as well as shopping.

The fold is small and the girls seemed comfortable in it.

No complaints yet from me, but I haven't used it on a regular basis yet.

  • So... This is a stupid question... But you have a stroller just for daycare drop-off? Seems kinda pricey for that? Am I being naive? Rarely used a stroller with DS - obviously I'll NEED to use one more often with twins. But why isn't this your primary stroller? Too small to carry stuff? What do you use for your primary stroller and why is it better?

Well, it's really a long winded answer.

There are two types of people out there.... those that LOVE strollers and those that think strollers are just something to tote your kids around in.  If you are of the former, then it's very likely that you have multiple strollers for multiple purpose.  The best analogy I can draw is like shoes.  There are shoe obsessed women who have 1000 pairs and then there are women who think shoes are just something that go on your feet.

I have 4 strollers right now in my garage:

Bumbleride Indie Twin - my primary stroller, steers like a dream, huge basket.  I love love love.  But too heavy to be lifting it in and out of the car for dc drop off.

Combi Twin - my lightweight stroller.  For DC drop off, folds like a dream, light.  But hard to steer for long walks on bumpy sidewalks.

DSNG - My lightweight stroller for when the boys were in infant seats

Bumbleride Flyer - Single stroller for when I take one baby out.

I'm on the verge of buying my 5th stroller (City Select).  If it's any consolation, I'm selling my DSNG to a fellow bumpie. :)

  • I have been wanting a Kinderwagon ever since Goldie posted the link.  I messaged Zulily, but they have never received more.  (she said she would email me if more were in stock).

And....  I am a proud stroller whore.   Geeked I own 5 and plan to get more.  I use them daily and I put them thru a lot of wear and tear.  I feel I get every penny back when I use them.  Like OrangeSmoke said, it's like shoes.

If anyone finds the Kinderwagon please post it on the board!  TIA Yes
