Lexapro ?'s

Hi ladies, 

I'm new to this board, but I'm finally being treated for depression and anxiety (PPD or not).

3 months ago I got a terrible stomach bug and I've been sick ever since.  I have daily nausea and diarrhea and it has not gone away.  It is ruining my life.  I've been through every test in the book.  I'm currently on a gluten free diet with only minimal relief.  They have ruled out Celiac.

 

They think I'm now depressed because of being sick/PPD.  In the meantime, I was referred to a psychiatrist who started me very slowly on Lexapro at 5 mg.  I took 1 dose and had a migraine and worse diarrhea than usual. I don't know if it was caused by the Lexapro, or if I was having anxiety over taking it.  I called the doc who told me to stop taking it until I see her again this week.

Did anyone else have such an immediate side effect?

My doc said this is a common side effect from Lexapro.  Other meds don't do this, so, hopefully, you will find one that works for you soon!  I hope you feel better!
