DD had a horrible reaction to a sunblock so she went to the pediatric dermatologist today. I thought I would share the 4 sunblocks the dermatologist recommended (only 4 -- she thinks the rest have too many chemicals):
Neutrogena Baby Pure And Free
Blue Lizard Baby or Sensitive
Vanicream Sunscreen
Cotz
There may be others she might approve but those are the ones she likes. And get this -- she did NOT like California Baby! Thankfully have 2 of the 4 in my house right now so can use those instead.

Re: Children's Sunscreen
I second the Neutrogena. And it's easy to find in the stores, unlike some of the others.
Did she say why she didn't like California Baby? That's the one we use
she thought it had too many chemicals.

Hmmm, interesting on the cali baby - I thought it, badger, neutragena blue lizard all had the same ingredient list, and it's the one with Blue Lizard that our pedi recommends.
And speaking of blue lizard, can anyone find it this summer?! I've looked at a number of places IRL and online and nothing
Really? California Baby got great health concern scores here.
Then again, the EWG warns against using any amounts of oxybenzone and at my last visit my Dermatologist baulked at that. Who do we believe?

If you saw my post in your FFC post, I second the Neutrogena Pure & Free sunscreen. And for adults, the Neutrogena Sensitive.
I also heard great things about Blue Lizard but never saw it in a store.

Amazon! Rite Aid also carries it but they sell out fast around here.

Update....
I was just at Walmart yesterday and Neutrogena Pure & Free now has a stick form... much less messy.
How funny! Any thoughts on Badger? Our pedi derm hadn't heard of that one but I know it's highly rated from a chemical content perspective.
