How do I add in Ganirlex to the mix?

Well I thought I knew how to add Ganirelix to my Bravelle & Menopur shot but now that the time is getting closer to actually do it, I'm afraid I'll do it wrong.  The nurse said I could go ahead and mix in the Ganirelix to the others (so it's only 1 shot not two) but what I don't know is if I still use the sodium chloride/water solution to dissolve the Bravelle & Menopur.  So will my shot essentially go from 1 mL to 1.5 mL?

Hmmm ... I had to do my ganirelix in the morning and my menopur and follistim at night so I'm no help!

Yes, mix your Bravelle as usual, then just add the Ganirelix right into the solution.

I will mention that the first time I did that I had an allergic reaction & broke out in itchy hives. After that I just did 2 shots & never had another problem. The nurse thought that was very unusual though.

Yeah mix it in last. It'll be a big shot but it shouldn't be any worse pain wise than the others. Just looks scarier

like pp said, just mix your bravelle as normal and add in the ganirelex. I much preferred the one shot to two and had no problems. good luck! hoping this is your one and only ivf

I did the exact opposite!  I'll never understand these protocols!  I've been stimming with 300 Follistim in the AM and 150 Menopur in the PM - added Ganarelix in the PM about 5 days ago - I'm almost ready for ER!
