Soo Im 15 weeks today and haven't heard anything on when my ultrasound will be so i am so excited to find out if its a boy or a girl with DS we didn't find out so this time we definitely want to know so i heard high heart rate for girl and lower for boy so i just wanted to see if that was true and would like to see what everyone else is having and their little ones heart rate thanks
However, even if it were true, you have to wait until later in pg to apply the tale. All babies have really high heat rates in early pregnancy and it beings to slow down when the second trimester starts.
FWIW, LO's heart rate was 160 at the a/s (19w). So it was right for me.
At each appointment it was always at least 150 or more. On my at home doppler, it never dropped below 150. Then at week 20 when we went in for our a/s, it was 130 and our LO was confirmed boy.
While ours proves true for boy in the later weeks, I heard there is absolutely NO truth to the heartbeat OWT! Babies heart rates always decrease some as they get bigger!

Our little girl's heart rate was very high at first, something like 176. It has kept going down at each appt (normal) and yesterday when we found out she is a girl (SQUEE!) her HR was 138. OWT held true for us. Good luck
I am having a boy and his heart rate was 147. I am 16 weeks. I've heard boys were lower..under 150 and girls were higher. My older sons heartbeat always jumped up when they messed with him so his always was high as if he was a girl. This lil guy doesn't seem to be affected as much when the monitor him.
That is typically the way it goes, but my husband and his brother both had high heart rates and obviously ended up being boys! Mine is 154 and it is a boy :-)
OWT were wrong for us, with DS #1 and now this little guy both had consistently high heart rates. Both times the OB said girl because of the high heart rate, and both times they were wrong. Lol
Re: What is your baby's heart rate and is it a boy or girl?
we were never told HR. we were just told it was fast and healthy.
To be quite honest, our doctors and technicians dont tell us much when it is normal.
Ours has always been fast, so we'll see. BTW, they've done a lot of studies on this and the results are inconclusive.
150-160's
boy
DD's heartrate was always in the 140s.
This baby, also a girl, has ranged from 130-165 bpm.
The OWT has been proven conclusively false.

I am having a girl and it was 156 at 14 wks and only 129 at 19 wks (but i think she was sleeping during that ultrasound).
