Formula Baby Constipated?

We switched from breast and formula to straight formula last week and my DS hasn't pooped since Friday night...I am going to call the pediatrician now, but has this happened to anyone else? It's making me nervous! How often does your formula fed baby poop?

    As per our pediatrician, it is normal for a FF baby to only poop 1x a day and it's ok if she goes 48 to 72 hours but after that we should call.

    What kind of formula are you using? Soy is binding. I had to switch LO to soy temperarilary for diarrhea and we are going on day 3 also. I may see if a rectal thermometer will help things along prior to calling them this afternoon (recommended by dr if it seems like she is having a hard time going).

    We are actually using Similac sensitive, which I believe is Soy. The dr said it will be easy to help transition from breast milk. That makes sense! Thanks

    My DD has not pooped since Friday night either.  I am not overly concerned yet, as she had two blowouts that day (first ones for us).  I would say if your LO is not acting uncomfortable I would not be too worried, but if he hasn't gone by the end of the day it wouldn't hurt to call the pedi.

    Try rubbing his tummy in a clockwise motion, that helps Lila everytime!

    When Emma was so constipated my mom told me to give her some fennel tea and later that night she finally pooped and felt much better. The tea also helps with gas.

    We had a lot of issues with constipation on Similiac. After trying many we have had great results with Enfamil Newborn. She is doing great on it thank goodness. Prior to switching to this I was having to stimulate any poop by taking a rectal temp.

    we are on goodstart, and as soon as were exclusive to formula, he's an every other day pooper.  He still has a bit of trouble, so pedi recommended 1tsp DARK Karo in his bottle 2x a day. Helped the consistency a LOT.  

    If he goes 6 days without pooping, we are to call the pedi.
