Parenting after 35

Moving Over INTRO

I've been living life on the pregnant after 35 board and loved it there. I guess with DS turning 3 weeks on Wednesday I thought it was time to move over and intro myself. Im 37, married with a 3.5 year old DD and almost 3 week old DS.

I am "trying" to recover and sleep when I can. Seems my natural state of going, going going is not going to allow me to rest. It's just in my nature. We are taking advantage of the time DH has off (4 wks now and another 3 in Aug/Sept) and doing as much as possible. Last week we rented an RV and went camping by the beach. It was perfect DH did everything and I just relaxed and did light cooking, gotta love him! My only c/s issue in recovery was/is HORRIBLE swelling in my feet/legs/thighs, which hasn't gone away yet - it would be nice to wear my shoes again cause these flip flops aren't cutting it, lol. I guess that's it (for now).

  • Hello and welcome! I know how hard it is to rest, but get it in while you can. And live for the flip flops! I am dreading returning to work and having to put real shoes on again. Did I mention I prefer being barefoot? Stick out tongue
  • Welcome and congrats!

I lived in Tevas.. those velcro sandals.. for the last 3 months of my pregnancy.  And I still wear them now all the time.. they're just too comfy!

  • We are all back together again!!! How I have missed you!!!  I am right there with you on the not sleeping thing. I can think of a hundred things I "should" be doing.  Today is my first day alone with Riley Ann.  SO went back to workk this week and my parents just left this morning.  We are doing OK. BF is getting on and the sleeping at night thing seems to go everyother night. One night we are golden, the next up all night. Kiki, I think you mentioned that Milo has reflux? how did you figure that out? I think I might be in the same boat......sigh
