Steroid shot and AF

I had terrible congestion due to a sinus infection and had to get a corticosteroid injection. That was back in April. I had a 42-day menstrual cycle after that (my cycles are around 30 days), then 4 periods in one month!! I'm not taking spotting either but a 5 day period with medium to heavy flow. I'm pretty sure it must be a side effect of the steroid shot b/c I'm super regular and I'm too young to be going through the "change". I have a gyno appt. tomorrow, I hope she can give me something to fix this, bleeding every other week is not cool!!! Anyone had that happen after a steroid shot?

Oh, yuck, poor you. I'm no help here, hopefully your gyno has some insight and can put a stop to the crazy cycles, that can't be fun.

I've had to have steriods on and off periodically due to asthma...never had that side effect. Hope the Gyno has some answers for you!!

Well, it's supposed to be a rare side effect, so I got unlucky I guess! Hopefully bloodwork will shed more light on this issue... Bleh!

I had it once for my back and AF was 2 weeks long (heavier than normal too).  Hope you see the doc!
