using tiny gpants as covers with regular prefolds?

Hello all,

 Lurker here. I am due in about 6 weeks and going to CD with this LO. I just got a bunch of tiny gpants (by gdiapers) from a friend and she said she had heard that you can use them as covers with prefolds. They are fully lined (unlike the s/m/l size gpants which just have the snap-in waterproof liner).

I was just wondering if anyone has done this? Used tiny gpants with prefolds? If not, I probably won't use the tiny gpants because I hate the idea of buying the biodegradeable liners. I am pretty sure that gdiapers doesn't make cloth inserts for the tiny g size...just biodegradeable.

Any experience/words of wisdom?

you can use small gcloth in them, or just stuff the prefold in and see how it looks.  i use a softbums mini isert in my small gcloth...just give it a whirl!  they pee so little in the beginning, so hust so long as the prefold fits - you're good!

Hey, if they're free, what the heck. Give it a go with some GMD oranges. Even if it doesn't work, you can still use the PFs with a snappi.

I'd get some Thirsties to use for just in case.

Maybe my LO pees abnormally larges amounts or maybe it's the cloth insert my friend's mom made for her small gpants that we're borrowing but she goes through them faster than I ever imagined possible! I'm not really a fan of the gdipes because of this and am glad that they're just to get us through the small days until the rest of our stash fits better.
