Gift for OB?

Just curious if you got your OB or MFM a gift? It just seems like I should do something for my OB that delivered the girls, she is the reason for a successful and easy surgery & recovery as well as two healthy baby girls

If you did get a gift, what was it?

I know doctors well (i'm a drug rep)  and think that a nice note with your heartfelt thanks is most appreciated. that is what i sent my OB and RE.

I agree with the above. I gave mine a card I made with pictures of the boys.

I'm a midwife, and I loved getting letters and pictures.  I've kept every single one!

I sent a birth announcement with a thank you. and I promptly paid my bills

I got a picture of her with the babies at my 8 week check up, and sent her a copy of it in a card.

I'm not sending a gift or card.  I'm not that thoughtful or sentimental.  Plus, I'm not even sure I really like my OB.

 

but I think if you want, a card, flowers, wine, or something nice to put in his/her office would be appropriate.

I sent a thank you note and a birth announcement to my OB and MFM.

We brought over an edible arrangement for the staff at our OB's office. I had it brought in on my regular day of the week for appointments so the staff I saw 2x a week would be sure to be there.  They were so sweet and helpful that I thought it was appropriate.

I always wanted to send something over to my OBs office (solo practice, 2 nurses & front desk person so I knew them all very very well!) and just never did...I guess I still can since they all still work there, that might be weird. But what I was thinking of was an edible arrangement as well- healthy & most ppl like them! I did send a birth announcement w/ a nice thank you to all of them though.

I also wrote my OB a thank you note with pics of DD. I had a c-section, so I had bought a box of candy for all of the staff in the operating room. I was in the hospital for 5 days and the nurses were fantastic, so DH and I bought the lunch one day:)

After DD was born I went to the RE and dropped of the birth announcement, a nice card and a dozen donuts from DD. They were real appreciative and sent me a thank you letter.  I also wanted to do the same for my OB but I forgot At my 6 week PP appoinment I did give her the birth announcement and a pic of her holding DD all bundled up in a blanket the day she was born.
