Bleeding Stump

I'm sorry to sound crazy but- 

The last day or so Em has had some bleeding from her stump. It still has not fallen off. Is this normal?

    Violet's has been bleeding a little for a couple of days.  The pediatrician said that most any bleeding or discharge is normal when the stump is in the process of separating, unless the area around it is swollen or red.

    LOs cord came off and a tiny bit was still attached, I kept using alcohol on that and it came off but had a bit of blood underneath. I left it alone and showed the pedi, she said it's fine and cleaned off the blood, now it's just a belly button.
