Most of you have mentioned all of the shots that your LO has gotten at the 2 month appointment. My pedi is giving him his first round of shots at 6 weeks. Is this right or should I ask to push it back?
Different places may have different usual schedules. I would just ask your doctor for a list of what LO is getting when. The sooner a kid is vaccinated, the less vulnerable s/he is to those diseases, so I wouldn't have a problem with 6 week shots if that's what is normal for your doctor.
No problem with getting them at 6 weeks. In fact, a lot of clinics in high risk areas prefer to give vaccinations as soon as possible. And as soon as possible means the baby must be at least 42 days old. I wish my clinic scheduled my baby sooner - she's getting hers at 8 1/2 weeks.
