Would have been nice if you told us it was a wedding! - update

So DH's best friend got engaged recently, and about 2 months ago, sent out a fb invite to go to Vegas with Him and his Fiance, to celebrate her 30th birthday. we couldn't go due to other commitments this month.  Well, they just checked in a the Little Vegas Wedding Chapel and post says they are "living the dream and getting married" WTF? you think he would have mentioned something to DH, since he asked him to be the best man. 

knowing him its some spur of the moment gig  and they will still have some shin dig here, with both their families, but i think dh is going to be  a bit bummed he missed this.

I agree that is a bummer, but it does sound spur of the moment - unplanned.  As long as they are happy, that's all that matters.

It is s a bummer but if they didn't tell you, what can you do? I'm sorry you missed it, I'm sure I would be upset too.

That is SUPER lame.  If a close friend did that I'd be PISSED.  I'll bet $357 that they will regret it!!

Are you sure it's for real? I had a rash of friends who went to Vegas who "checked in" at wedding chapels or stood under wedding signs with someone else's rings on as a gag.

Oh yeah, they even went as far as to change their facebook status to married. Then they were funny and changed it to single the next day after everyone freaked out.

Nest ate my update! Turns out it was a fake. Didnt find out till 4 hours later, and he says its because SHE backed out. DH thinks its cuz he wasn't there. I told DH yea right. LOL
