days and nights

my little bundle of joy may just have her days and nights mixed up.... she is eating tons and is extremely healthy.... but when it comes to the night time - she is looking at me wide eyed.... she was up till 5am last night....

she eats ever hour or two - lately she has been eating more than her little tummy can handle.... and spits up a ton!!! all she wants is food food foood... and my boobs can't handle it!!!

my boobs are beyond sore and i'm not sure if there is anything i can do to get her on track....i wish she would eat a little slower and sleep a little more during the night..... i know this is way to much to ask a newborn.. hahaha wishful thinking i guess....

i know this has turned into a rant.... she's gorgeous and i love her... just wish there was something i could do....

 anyone experiencing the same thing??

Last night was hell. She didn't sleep longer than 30 min all night, all she wanted was to eat, wide eyed and bushy tailed. No idea what to do about it either.

How much does she sleep during the day?  I never let LO sleep more than 3 hours during the day and we've not had a night like this (knock on wood!!!).  Of course she wakes up every 3-4 hours at night too, but she goes back to sleep after eating.

This is key for DS too.  With my first DS, everyone told me never wake a sleeping baby so I let him sleep as long as he wanted whenever he wanted.  This resulted in him having his days and nights mixed up for the first two months of his life.  So this time around, I make sure Gabriel doesn't sleep for more than three hours during the day.  He hasn't had a problem at all not confusing day and night and has even STTN a few times.

I agree... during the day I dont let her sleep more than 3 hours... I feed her and then she's back off to bed....

At night - for some reason... she's up and ready to play.

How do YOU wake a sleeping baby?  My son is suuuuuuch a deep sleeper, holding him, changing him, even feeding him, will not wake him up if he is in a good sleep.
