Hi all,

I am new here and usually hang over on the Knot as I am getting married on Nov 7. I'm 35 and FI is 41. He has a son from his first marriage and we just decided that this is the month we will start trying for one of our own. I figured that at my age even waiting one extra month until after the wedding was too long to wait. Being the obsessive, all or nothing kind of person I am, I bought the CBEFM yesterday ( I have been charting for the last 2 months). FI is fascinated by it and can't wait for us to start using it. 

I went of BCP in August and I am not enjoying having real periods again (my skin is a disaster). I hope to give them up for at least 9 months.

Welcome! You and I have something in common in our anxiousness to start TTC even before we get hitched. FI and I are getting this married but will start TTC this month because it's the month I turn 35. Not entirely rational, but better safe than sorry. Or, the sooner the better. Or something like that. Anyway, good luck to you!

Welcome and GL! I too an not happy to have the skin issues that come with a real period, but at least my periods are lighter, even though that's probably not good either!

BTW, November brides rock : ) ?We will be celebrating our first anniversary in 2 1/2 weeks, and about 2 weeks after that we started ttc!?

Hi!  I know the feeling - I just turned 39 and am hoping to start TTC NEXT month.  I have had recent surgery on one foot and will be having it on the other soon.  I'm tired of the hold-ups!

Welcome, I hope the monitor works for you. I've been using OPKs but I'll start using the monitor next month. I've heard good things about it. Good luck!
