February 2012 Moms

Intro

Hey ladies,  I got a +HPT on Monday.  I am so excited.  I'm 4wks pregnant now.  Due Feb 12th based on LMP.  My first doctors appointment is not for another week and a half.

Is anyone else still spotting? When should I expect the spotting to stop?

  • Spotting can last as long as your period normally does and appear and disappear throughout the entire pregnancy. The spotting is usually a much lighter pink color than a normal period.

  • I am exactly in the same boat as you.  I had the worlds tiniest bit of spotting on Fri that I only saw because I was hunting for AF, who was supposed to arrive on Sat.  I had very brown spotting that lasted from Sun to Tues.  +HPT on Mon just like you and spotting has stopped as of Weds - so I guess the total would be just as long as my normal period

  • Hi & welcome!  I just found out Tues. of this week, just over 4 weeks too.  I have an appointment in 2 1/2 weeks.  I spotted before my BFP (could have been implantation), but started spotting again yesterday.

I suggest calling your doc to see what they want you to do.  Mine wants me to avoid sex until my appointment :-O, and get blood work to check progesterone levels.  So in I go... better to find out early in my opinion.

Best of luck to you - I am not too worried - it happens to many!  Just call your doc to see what/ if they want you to do.

  • Welcome and congrats! I don't have any experience with spotting, but from what I hear as long as it isn't bright red or accompanied with serious cramping, you are probably just fine!

  • I don't have any useful info on spotting, but I hope it ends soon!  From what I can tell, some level of spotting is normal as long as it is not accompanies by painful cramps, etc.  Welcome and good luck!  H&H nine months to you!
  • Congrats and welcome!
