For those of you with dogs...

We have found a couple of ticks on our dog lately. What's the best tick medication to use? Obviously, Paloma will be touching the dog in the next couple of days but I don't want her consuming any of that stuff. Any suggestions?

We use Revolution on our dog. You have to get a prescription from the vet, but it works well and only has to be applied once a month. It's a liquid that comes in a little plastic vial and you apply it on bare skin (part the fur) on the back of the dog's neck. It absorbs into the skin into the bloodstream for protection. It covers other things besides ticks, too, so it's not cheap.
