Not sure if you have a Sam's Club membership, or know someone who does, but last week I picked up a two pack of Nuby Sippys (without handles) that came with 2 matching snack traps with silicone lids for $7.87.

I saw those! They also had a 4 pack of the Nuby Straw Cups that I use for $7.47.
I was going to grab them, but it was early on in the Nuby Straw Cup success, so I didn't want to jinx myself! I'm going today or tomorrow to grab more.
Can you tell me how you transitioned? Slowly? Cold turkey?
My boys just slam their sippies around. I noticed today, though, that Luke picked up his bottle and started trying to tip it up and drink out of it like a sippy. But then that didn't work and he just moved on. I'm wondering if I ought to try to give them one "bottle" a day in a sippy. (They're on four bottles a day.)

The girls never even saw a sippy cup until 10 months- so don't worry! I used to recline their highchairs and give them water in a sippy with meals. I used to have to hold the bottom of the cup and tilt it for them.
I did this until around 11 months, and they would not tilt the cup on their own. My friend visited with her 14 month old and she had a straw sippy cup- a Camleback kind. So she left one for the girls to try because they got the hang of it right away. So I bought the Nuby straw cups at Target and started giving them a sippy of water throughout the day. This past weekend I gave the girls their milk in a sippy first thing in the morning and there was no issue, I tried it for night, no issue. So I didn't give them a bottle at all after that.
I'll be honest, I wasn't in a big rush to make the move. To me it was kind of sad thinking about it...like their last "baby" thing that I didn't want to give up! I also think One Year isn't some magic number...I was willing to work with the girls and let them have it a bit longer if they wanted. But when I saw how quickly they took to it, I decided to make the switch before they got too attached to the bottle.

I remember when we were finally bottle free. It was so nice taking them off my counter. I forgot how much space we had again.
Congrats! It is a great feeling.
