when i went to get a new epipen, i asked the phaprmasist what i should do with it and he said to just keep it in the case and throw it in the garbage. so i did.
I've used expired ones to give demos on how to use the epi.
I'm the one that needs the epi in my family. They haven't always given out trainer epi's and I usually give a demo at work to show my office how to save my life.
My DS's friend is peanut/dairy/egg allergic. His mom was nervous his first boy scout camping trip, until she realized that my DS was going and knows how to use an epi b/c of me. Literally shouted across the parking lot to her H..."It's gonna be okay G (my ds) knows how to use an EPI!"
Does anyone keep them? I was just told last week that if they're expired, but the fluid inside is not discolored, I should keep it around as a backup. (we're new to this; DD was just diagnosed with pea/tree nut allergies)
