Pedis that are okay with delayed vax?

We moved here a few months ago and I have yet to find a Dr. that will see him since he isn't up to date on his shots.

We were in the Hoover area and now were in Pelham.  Can anyone reccomend a dr so I can see if our insurance accpets them?

I'm getting highly anoyyed.

  • I'm calling Alabaster Pediatrics in the near future to look into pedi's for my LO, and I plan to ask that very same question.

I'll let you know what I find out -- otherwise they come highly recommended so I have high hopes.

Just out of curiosity, who have you looked into so far?

  • We use Greenvale Pediatrics (offices in Hoover, Brook Highland, & Alabaster), and I truly believe they are one of the best pediatric practices in Birmingham.  However, I do know that they do not support the alternative vaccine schedules, so I can't really help you there.  Good luck!

  • I?m sorry not able to help with Dr?s in the area; but, I?ve a good friend whose husband is in the Navy - stationed in Pensacola. They had that vaccination problem with their daughter when moving to the area so she called local health department. They helped her get in touch with a clinic which brought her up to current level with vaccinations. That clinic then referred her to several local pediatric doctors whom were accepting new patients. Now each time they transfer she gets a referral in that new area from her present doctor?s office. GL I hope this helps!
