acupunture!

hi ladies...

how many of you did accupunture as part of your IF treatment?  i am doing it now and i definitely find it relaxing...was just curious if you felt it helped?   thanks:)

I've had acupuncture before and after 2 IVF transfers and so far nada. BUT it's relaxing to a certain extent and studies have shown it to help up to 40% better.

I did acupuncture with electrostim 2x a week for 5 weeks leading up to ER, then after ER and before and after ET. I think that it really helped us have a successful IVF cycle. Just make sure you go to someone who specializes in IF acu.

Good luck! I still do acu now for other things. I did a 4 week treatment prior to having the baby to assist with childbirth and it helped my labor start when I was overdue.

I did it during IVF #1 which resulted in DD. During that cycle I had 3 rockstar 8 cell embies on day 3 and the rest were 4 cells. I did not do it during IVF #2 (first cycle TTC #2) and all my embies were 4 cells and cycle was BFN. We are currently going through IVF #3 and I started accupunture hoping that was what made a difference. If I get a couple fabulous embies I will be a believer! Good Luck!!

I have issues far beyond the reach of acupuncture, but I do love to go, just for the great nap and feeling more "in balance."

PS  - check in your area for "community acu"  - they're popping up more and more. You give up the privacy of the flat uncomfortable table and share a quiet dark room with others in cozy recliners. And save a TON of money. (I pay $15 a session)

I did acupuncture this last IVF cycle and seems to have helped. I only did 3 sessions: an initial session, one the day before the ET and one immediately after the ET.
