My son has really been fighting sleep on and off lately. Whether it's nighttime or naptime, he's been waking up at times and screaming. I use the Ferber method.
He and my daughter are supposed to be napping right now. My son just woke up crying though. I went in there and he had flipped on his tummy and apparently didn't think he could flip back and was crying. I flipped him to his back and left the room. Should I just hope that he goes back to sleep and do my Ferber thing or end his nap? He hasn't been crying for a half hour, like Ferber mentions in his book.
I'll admit it - I'm exhausted and could really use a little break, but I just want to do the right thing.
Thanks.
Re: Need Advice: Overtired Baby
Jake just did the same thing, twice during his nap. He was over tired also only napped for 45 mins this morning for the sitter..and then woke up twice during his afternoon nap.
I knew he was still tired.cause he had only been a sleep for like 1/2 and he normally sleeps for like 2 hrs...my kid needs a lot of sleep
so I just went in held him for a second..gave him his blanky and he went back to sleep..It did take him 2x to go back but now he has been out for about an hour. So, I would hope he goes back to sleep. Esp if you know his nap is usally longer and he needs his sleep...
