?? For MoMs in mass

DO you belong to a local moms group? I am having trouble finding a local group and their contact info. I found mass mothers of twins but their website is outdated. I live just north of boston and may try the boston mammas group. Any ecperience with boston mammas? which groups or clubs do you belong to, can you forward the contact info? And do you find them to be a helpful resource? Any info would be appreciated, thank you

Re: ?? For MoMs in mass

  • I tried to find a MoMs group after I had the girls and I probably went through the website - it took a few months b4 anyone contacted me and by then I just wasn't in the mood (and was back to working ft) so I guess my suggestion would be to try a boston mommas group...I have a couple friends out near boston (I'm here in the western part of the state) and while none of them are MoMs I know they had luck finding local playgroups to join on meetup, by visiting the library and even just going to their neighborhood park...hth a little!
  • there is one by me, i think Goldie is a member...I've been meaning to join since the boys were born but I could never go to meetings since I was nusing and it was around the boys' bedtime.  Now that they're bigger it's something I want to look into again

  • I'm part of the Mothers of Multiples, West Surburban chapter.  Here is the site: https://www.wscmmota.org/  I joined at the urging of a friend who had twins last September.

It is a fantastic group of women -- super supportive, always offering free/cheap lightly used stuff, and hosting playdates (not that my twins are here yet!).  I haven't been to any of their meetings, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Also, check out keepingpace.org -- they're out of West Bridgewater (off route 24), and run a twins or more consignment shop.   They also have a MoMs club, but I am not a member.

  • I'm a member of MMOTA, as well, but a different chapter.  The Founding chapter is full of MoM from towns north and west of Boston.  It's been the BEST resource that I've found since having our twin girls.  The web site is:

  • I live just north of Boston and belong to two groups.  I belong to North Shore Mothers of Multiples and North Suburban Parents of Multiples.  I am liking the NSPOM better.  Let me know if you have any questions!!
