We're leaving for San Diego tonight and this will be DS first flight! Am I allowed to take baby food?!? It's liquid and over 2 oz so will they allow it? Also, what about things like a tube of diaper cream or the little Gerber juices?? I'd just hate to have to toss all this stuff as we go through security.
And, where the heck do you change DC? On the seat or is there room in the bathroom?
Ughhh I'm getting nervous! I hope he's not the screaming baby on the flight!
Re: Travel Question
As for changing him, San Diego isn't that far, so just change him right before you board and hopefully you won't have to do it again. If you do, I don't know where to do it, because we didn't fly with Tillman when he was little.
As for the food, I don't know about the baby food, but the juice should be fine. We flew back from Sacramento with a bottle of gatorade and a bottle of water in my carry on. They saw it in the X-ray, looked at us, looked at Tillman and pushed it through. I would leave the diaper cream in your checked bag if you don't need it for every diaper change. No need to add another element.
You should be able to call your airline and get any answers.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Put everything of Gage's in a large plastic ziplock bag, it's easier to grab and show than have to dig through the diaper bag. We changed Payton on the seat between us, as we were able to get an inflant block on the row. I think Andy actually took her to the bathroom too, and said there wasn't much room to change her but there was a changing table. She was 10w old when we flew to CA though.
My only advice is to give Gage a bottle as you're taxiing the runway, getting ready to take off and then again on descent. It helps their little ears...
Have fun Ash! Bring back some sunshine, will ya?

How fun! Baby food isn't considered liquid since it's "food", you can take it, but I would have it in a quart ziplock bag just incase it makes a mess. If you don't need it for the airport or flight I would pack it with your checked luggage. You can take snacks too. For the juice it needs to be in the 2 or 3 oz containers, all together in a ziplock bag and you need to claim in at security. I also only took a travel size diaper cream just in case they were going to be picky.
For changing.. thats the fun part.
I personally wouldnt' change them on the seat, it's gross, even if it's just pee. We did all our changes in the bathroom ask when you get on if one of them has a changing station, it might be in just one of them. Otherwise we did it on the toilet seat with his changing mat, it was not fun! He went through 2 changes of clothes both ways, so pack some extra.
Have a great trip.. are you going down for fun or family?
We're going with DH's whole family for his little brother's boot camp graduation. It's just for the weekend but I'm pretty excited to get away and get some sun!! And we're taking DS to Sea World! I can't wait!!
Kim~ I'll be sure to pack some sun with me on the way back!
Marines!
I'll let you know! I'm sure Gage won't have a clue at this age but I'm still excited to take him to Sea World.
