I went to the Goodmama/babmama page and saw one of the defenders on the MMTT page 100% trashing GM so I posted this:

"I VERY rarely get involved in stuff like this, but Tanya has lambasted other WAHMs not only on her own business's fb page but also on the goodmama/badmama page. Danielle, you have joined her in lambasting a WAHM (over diapers) on the same page. If it weren't for that, I would keep my mouth shut, but I honestly can't stand talking out of both sides of your mouth. And if it weren't for Danielle's aggressive comments in the post above (while also trashing another WAHM on another FB page for essentially the same things that are happening here) I would have walked away from this cluster. From what I have read both here and in emails (and in the deleted post from another mama) she has, in addition to lambasting other WAHM, failed to communicate with her customers (almost all have found out their coops weren't going to happen on fb), gone WELL over timelines for diapers, actually not starting some that should have been shipped by now, blamed her customers for her own poor organization, and deleted a well detailed post of some of the above problems. Still, my biggest beef is the trash talking she's done on this board as well as others"

I posted it here in case it gets DD.

Good for you!

There are some serious loons out there.  One of the reasons I hang out on TB's CD board is because all the mamas are pretty honest and fair.  And if someone gets a bit carried away with their criticism another mama will point it out and no one gets all huffy and offended.  YAY Bumpie mamas!

Seriously!  Peeps have issues.  I haven't been on the gm/bm page since a day or two after it started.  I may have to stroll over for a gander.

Nor does it give you an excuse to be a sh1tty person/business owner.  Hanging customers out to dry is what it is.  The reasons are rarely justification, merely excuses.

and seriously... I'm not staying home (however temporary) because I'm "safe"... I'm staying home because we can afford me taking a sabbatical until the next school year...

My DH is a firearms instructor in the military and its widely considered, in all the training classes that he's taken, that schools are one of the more dangerous places in America these days...  Not only are inner city schools riddled with crime and kids bringing weapons to school but also the random active shooter scenarios like Columbine.  My own school goes into lockdown for one reason or another a few times a year- I'm safer staying home!
