Runners come in

Question from PO35. I was supposed to be doing a triathlon July 1, but not sure that is going to happen now. Last summer I was really feeling sore (joints, hips, feet, etc) with #5, but I put it down to being #5 and my body relaxing quicker.

At 32 weeks I took my dks on vacation and one of the things we did was took a 6k walk around Niagra Falls. I was sore, but did notice my foot swell slightly. I thought is was from the heat (32C+ without the humidex) and pregnancy. I continued to have discomfort there (okay, everywhere really) but again thought it was me being a big baby.

After I had lo, I figured some of the discomfort was from her, she was just shy of 11 lbs. I realized in January that something was really wrong because my feet were no longer swollen, and my right foot looked really odd. DH is a trainer (hockey, rugby, lacrosse) and said that he thinks it was broken. The joint where the big toe is, is really off. I need to get my doc to xray it, because I can't run on it now, it's too painful. Whatever treatment he recommends is fine by me, I need my foot fixed.

My question is, has anyone else injured themselves like this in pregnancy (or otherwise) and been able to run again? Help?
