Did anyone's Dr recommend that they drink these during your pregnancy? My MFM wants me to get some because I haven't gained any weight yet (actually lost) due to morning sickness. Any tips for what flavor is the best? Did you blend them with fruit or anything to make a smoothie?

Yes, my MFM had me drinking 2+ of these per day in the last month of my pg (one DD was possibly IUGR and studies showed that liquid protein sources crossed the placentas more quickly/efficiently). I wish I had started drinking them sooner in my pg!
I'd have one in between breakfast and lunch and one right before bed as a "dessert." The a.m. shake I would blend it with ice, a Greek yogurt (to double the protein!!) and/or a banana--I thought that helped cut out the metallicy taste those drinks often have. The p.m. drink was blended with ice as well but mixed with a cup of soy milk or some flavored frozen yogurt (to make it like a milkshake). They actually grew on me and didn't taste so bad, IMO!
My MFM said any brands were fine--Ensure Protein, EAS High Protein, Myoplex Lite. I preferred the chocolate varieties. I bought them at most grocery chains, Target, Wal-Mart or Costco.
