Hey ladies...... I know it's probably not worth worrying about but I called my OB to be safe and they want me to come in today to see them.
I took a minor fall where I partly landed on my stomach (mostly supported by my hands). I rolled to the side during the fall as much as possible as well to avoid my stomach being impacted. Basically I was being my normal klutz self and last night on the way out to my car I missed a step since it was dark out. I had some cramping last night as well as lightening crotch that seemed to come after the fall, but no blood.
Any of you have similar stories? Hopefully with happy endings..... I was suprised that they wanted to see me instead of just having an OB call me back to calm me down
Re: Anyone else fallen?
I just wanted to say Good Luck at your appointment! What a scary situation to be in. Luckily the baby is very well insulated with fluid. Good Luck and keep us posted!
Yes I am very clumsy when I am pregnant! It's really quit rediculous! I will be standing next to someone talking to them and all of a sudden I will lose my balance? It's really crazy.
But with my first I actually fell walking up our stone walking steps which led to our garden and slipped causing myself to land right on the baby. I went into the DR office they sent me to L&R to put baby on the monitors. It went just fine. If you think about it, they have so much fluid around them, that they are sooo protected!!
I fell when I was pg with ds. I was using a broom to swat a huge bee out the back door, when I slipped on some water from the washing machine. I sort of ended up in a split (8mos pg no less) landing directly on my vag. I was freaking out that I hurt the poor bebe, but really it was just me that was hurt. I did call the doc and he just gave me a list of things to call back if they happen; cramping, bleeding, etc.
Hope you feel better, and fingers crossed that everything is just fine!!
I think around 7 weeks, I was reading a book in bed and my husband ran and did like a "flying squirrell jump" right on top of me and my stomach. It was like for a brief moment in time he forgot that I was pregnant or it didn't cross his mind when he decided to jump on me. I was shocked. I looked at him like "are you stupid or something?" He felt so bad and could not believe that he did that. I know this is completely different than falling, but I was really freaked out about it and worried. My doctor said that there is so much cushion for the baby and they are so safe inside of us. She told me not to worry unless I was doubled over and bleeding. I hope everything is ok with you and the baby!
I fell down 5 stairs onto a hardwood landing when I was 37 weeks pg with DD. Hurt my hands and knees pretty bad, but was fine otherwise.
My sister's foot slipped off her sidewalk and she slid down a 8 foot hill on her belly when she was 38 weeks and was totally fine besides some scrapes.
I would check with the doctor, but the baby is pretty cushioned.
