Ok ladies, how do or did you do it? In the NICU the girls are on a 1/2
Hr apart schedule eating every 3 hours. One will be coming home
Soon so I can have her do both sides and then pump for baby B to bring to NICU. When baby B comes home do I give them each a side for the day? Alternate sides each feeding? What did u do???

Re: BF tips for 2
I would stick with one side for pumping and one for feeding and then alternate at each feedings, I was told that it's better to empty the full breast so the baby gets the fatty milk also.
Once your other baby is home I would just alternate sides, but some don't- I found one side had a little bit more milk so I'd try to alternate, mind you I didn't always remember who was on what side lol
I've been alternating sides for each feeding (DD on Right DS on left, next feeding switch). If I put them down and they're still hungry they go up on the same breast.
I'd be interested in knowing how others work pumping into the routine when feeding 2.
Yup, this is what I do.
I pump a couple hours after they go to bed. I didn't always get much, but as they go longer stretches at night, I can push it back further and get more. I also pump in the morning after they've eaten. I only do this when I feel really full after a long stretch of sleep at night, but I usually get a good amount then.
It's definitely harder to squeeze in pumping with two than it was with one!
