Eye Wrinkle Cream?

Only on this board could this be a topic....

Do you use it?  What do you use?

Just last night I was looking in the mirror and became disturbed by the prominence of my crow's feet and dark circles.  I've never been one to wear makeup very much and know very little about "old lady" stuff like this.  But maybe it's time to bite the bullet.

I know the old TV anchor trick of using Prep H.  Anything else OTC and relatively inexpensive that will help?   I'd prefer not using anything with horse placenta or anything equally weird.
TIA!

Re: Eye Wrinkle Cream?

  • I have to admit, that while I love some of the anti-aging face washes, lotions etc., I haven't found the eye creams to be all that great for the $$, so I'll be interested to see the responses!

  • I was using Clinique's "All About Eyes". I really liked it & it seemed like it was doing what it was supposed to. Then I was stupid & put it in a suitcase's outer pocket before catching a flight, which an unnamed airline then destroyed during baggage handling, resulting in the loss of the eye cream. I couldn't bear putting the money out again (it was $30, definitely less expensive than most dept store brands), so now I'm using Oil of Olay's Age-Defying Anti-Wrinkle eye cream...when I remember to use it.  I keep it in the fridge. It seems like it does the trick, or at least that's what I tell myself.  When I remember to use it.

  • i've been using eye cream for a good 10 years now and i can proudly say that i have very little lines! :)

at first, i used Kiehl's brand (something with avocado in it- green writing on itty bitty jar) but then i switched to Oil of Olay bc it was easier to find and it works great.

currently i used the Oil of Olay rejuvinating cream and LOVE it.

  • I've been using eye cream since college. Always wanted to be proactive and I don't have many wrinkles at all. I haven't really noticed much of a difference between brands. IMO, it's just important to keep moisturized and be consistent with it, but brand isn't as important. I have been using stuff from the Body Shop and really like it. So just try one and see how you like it.

  • I tried the Estee Lauder night serum and liked it, but it was pricey.  I just use Oil of Olay everyday, and make sure to wash my makeup off good everyday. Most of my wrinkles are between my eyebrows, from squinting.  haha.

hahaha!  If that's the case, then my eyes have fat rolls!

You know what - there is some truth in that statement - at least for me.  I lost about 100 lbs 5 yrs ago and my face looked sooooo different. And now I have a small waddle - yuck.

But to answer your original question - I use oil of old lady regenerist. I think it works pretty good.

  • I used to use a Clinique eye cream (can't remember the name now) but it was discontinued. I tried a Loreal cream and it wasn't moisturizing enough. So, I bit the bullet and shelled out the $38 for Lancome's Bienfait Multi-Vital eye cream and I love it! It has an SPF 28 which I really like, and it is very moisturizing (so you only need a small amount). Good luck!
  • No help here...I have curious little fingers that keep destroying stuff like that. Houdini (K) can get through childproofing. I did have Oil of Olay, but I can't seem to find the one, and the other had swirls. They were used to decorate the mirror with (I suppose if you can't see wrinkles, they aren't there??). I know lots of women that swear by Avon products as well. When I used to flog that stuff, it sold well.

My mom uses Oil of Olay products and she looks fantastic, not at all her age with awesome skin. It wasn't always that way. I remember her at my age and she looked tired too. So there is hope.

I swore I read somewhere that 10 lbs in either direction makes all the difference. 10 lbs under makes you look older, 10 lbs over makes you look younger.

If that is the case, I must look about 15.

  • I haven't found anything that works yet.

I think I will wait a few more years and then get something done...

    Hahaha! Me too!

  • I normally use Clinique's "all about eye's" eye cream but sometimes I just use the samples I get from Estee Lauder, Lancome, etc. Whatever is good quality works for me!
