How many times should I wash hemp inserts before using?

I just got a few of them to use for over night, never used hemp before.  I just washed them on hot w/a load of towels, wondering how many more times I should do it before they are typically 'ready'.

My understanding is hemp or unbleached cotton needs 5 washes with detergent or 20 minutes boiled and a hot detergent wash to get all the oils out.

Depends. AFFF come already prepped. Other hemp I have bought - I boil for 30 minutes.
