What is your dream vacation?

Re: Tuesday QOTD

  • I R E L A N D!!! Horseback riding through the Irish countryside, experiencing the history and staying in their castles.
  • For me, it would be an all-inclusive resort somewhere warm and tropical. I'd really love to go to jamaica or Aruba. I've been to a couple of AI resorts and loved every minute. I'm not sure if I would want to spend that kind of money on a vacation with small kids though so it will probably be quite some time before I am going on a big vacation again.

WHEN (not if) you go, be careful about what time of year. We went in June and got lucky with 4 days of sunshine, but it's almost always drizzly rain and chilly. Long sleeves or jackets even in the "summer". Very similar to Seattle.

  • Anywhere all inclusive, and ideally with some sort of nanny to take care of the kids. I don't want to leave them, and want to watch them have fun on a vacation too, but I want to sleep!!!! And drink.... and lounge..... ok, maybe somewhere without the kids. ;)

  • My dream vacation would be Paris. I took four years of french in high school and was suppose to go with the school but plans fell through because of money. Hopefully I'll make it there one day

I haven't been to Rome but Paris was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

My dream would be Venice or Australia.

  • We *really* want to go on a cruise. And JUST a cruise, but a cruise where we could afford to do excursions at every (or almost every) stop. I want to zipline, and ride horses, and drive ATVs. I'd love to either go to Alaska/Canada, or on a Western Carribean cruise (go see the Mayan ruins and all that cool stuff).

Other than a cruise, I want to go to one of those resorts with over water bungalows, like this:

  • Bora Bora. I've been to Europe and while it's amazing, somewhere tropical would be a nice change of pace. Those bungalows look so relaxing.

  • This was hard to answer as I've traveled quite a bit (studied abroad in college - great use of student loans haha) but I think I like the Greece idea!!
