I use the 8 oz Dr. Brown bottles with the standard white cap.One cap is lost and the stores near me do not sell these separately. They do sell the storage travel caps. Has anybody used these? Are they placed over the bottle nipple?
I've actually never seen these. With DS. I used the little white discs that went between the nipple and the screw cap. With these, it looks like it would go on the bottle without the nipple, screw cap and top which means you would have to carry them separate. That seems like it would be a pain. I never really loved the travel-ability of Doc Browns but I would think the discs would be more convenient than these. I've seen those sold in stores.

I have used them. They screw right on the bottle, so you do have to figure out what to do with the nipple and the vent part. If you don't like that you can also order the white discs separately.
I use them to shake the bottles before I put the rest of the bottle together. When we're out for the day I just put the other bottle parts in a ziploc bag and carry it with me. Maybe I've just gotten used to it but it doesn't bother me or seem like an extra step. The bottles leak on me if I shake it up without those (even with the little disks in them).
