New Brunswick....problems getting family doctors?

is anyone else in NB having trouble getting a family doctor? I moved here about a year and a half ago, was told the list of people waiting to get a family Dr was HUNDREDS of people long.  I was (and still am) waiting for a transfer to go through at work that gets me covered by military medical care.

Since I am pregnant, and this transfer with work has not happened yet, military doctors won't see me, and i really need a family Dr.  Problem is, I can't even get myself on the list!

anyway....that turned in to a bit of a rant I guess, but its frustrating.

  • I am lucky enough to have a GP.  My MIL got me in when I aged out of my pediatrician ( he actually kept me until I was 16).  However I have several friends who are on the dreaded list.

  • If you are in/around F'ton you can go to the Gibson clinic on the northside. That's what I did when I was in NB and couldn't get a doctor.
