When do I lower their crib mattresses?

They aren't pulling to standing but they are getting on all fours and peering over the top of their bumpers (which is a little creepy when I look over and all I see are two big blue eyes staring at me.) When did you lower their mattresses?

As soon as my girls started crawling, they started pulling up.  They started crawling around 8/9 months.  I lowered the cribs all the way.

I lowered when he could get on all 4's (like yours are doing now).  Just to be safe....

Right at 8 months when they started crawling.  Crawling and wanting to stand happened right around the same time.  Once they were mobile, they were very curious/brave.

Mine are both up on all 4's and the plan is to lower their cribs this weekend. I'm not taking chances -- they get more bold by the day.

Just this past weekend.  Both babies are getting up on all 4s and love to "stand" with assistance.  It was a matter of time before they figured it out on their own.

Kaleb recently started sitting himself up from crawling position so I went ahead and lowered it, just in case he decided to pull up before I knew he was capable :-P
