How in the world is my little boy going to be FOUR this summer???
Last year we had his party at 10:00 in the morning and served lunch - sliders, dogs, etc. All the parents seemed to like the earlier time since it left the afternoon and evening open for family stuff, plus in the middle of summer it was much cooler. We would play and do dinosaur stuff then serve lunch around 11/11:30 with cupcakes then everyone goes home by 12:00 or so.
This year I was thinking of doing a "Brontosaurus Brunch" starting at 9:00 am and over by 11:00 or so. Food would be CFA chicken minis, fruit tray, donut holes and a few other little things then cupcakes closer to 11:00. Kids and parents could eat as soon as they get there then go on a "dinsoaur hunt" and play for a little while then cupcakes before everyone goes home.

Re: Birthday Party - need opinions, please!
I think 9:30 sounds good too, especially if any of your guests are having to drive a ways. But I think the brunch sounds like a great idea and then the parents can take their kids home for lunch/nap.
What day are you planning to do John's party? We need to coordinate these things you know ;-) C's party will be on the 9th at DNP.
I also like 9:30 w/ brunch foods, especially with your theme! Cute!
We did a 10:00 party that ended at 11:30. We served a fruit/dip tray (from Lowe's foods--it was really nice!), Cheez-it snack mix, teddy grahams, and cake. I felt like that was plenty for a non-meal time of day.
