Nothin! Well, we've got the usual suspects lined up.. pool, zoo, library, aquarium, festivals, etc. But, other than that we're laying low this summer and doing as much relaxing hanging in as possible. Last summer sucked b/c we had too much to do... too much medical stuff, too much travel (DH), too many home improvements, too many commitments.... When summer was over and school started back I felt ridiculous... we hadn't relaxed a bit!
I've always got plans bigger than my budget. We aren't going to do much this summer, probably a lot of cook outs and pool parties (we have a large in-ground pool).
If I can manage to get knocked up without IVF then I think we'll go on a cruise in September, if I'm not pregnant or we do IVF in the meantime I think we'll go to panama city or something or something easy. DH is just going back to work in the next few weeks after being off since early February for surgeries so our plans are petty low key.

I want to sell some stuff on ebay. I'm a packrat and have stuff that could possibly make some money if I weren't too lazy to take some pics, etc.
Enjoy my backyard. We still need to get our deck fixed for that to happen but we finally got a fence so I am hoping we can spend some time out there as a family without getting eaten alive.
Oh and get knocked up.

I'm hoping to transfer some of my frozen embies successfully! Everything else seems less important.
Well, except celebrating Will's 1st birthday - that's VERY important!!
But other than that, we're thinking about taking a vacation somewhere local, which we never do. We're having such a hard time planning it! And maybe even a weekend getaway, just the two of us. We'll see if we can actually figure that out logistically!
Lots of trips to the aquarium (I need to make use of our membership) and to the park (in the hopes of getting Will over his fear of playgrounds) are also on the agenda!
And I want to leave work early on a couple Fridays so I can do those things. We'll see if I actually manage that!
Celebrating Jake's 1st Birthday in August. We are having it at the stadium where the Marlins play during a baseball game. Should be fun..it will be a small affair cause we have no family arounld..
Finalize our summer vaca plans. Orignally we were planning on going on vacation to the Cape for a week and then I was going to stay for another 2 wks and hang out with friends and family..Well flights are super expensive..We are going home this weekend and it;s costing us an arm and a leg. Second is that we don't have a car that we can use for the whole 3wks..I currently have the house still reserved..
We then thought maybe would do a road trip instead..Drive from Fla to Boston..take a week stop in Savannha, Hilton Head, Philly, DH and then Boston..but the issue is that we still have to drive back and won't have as much time..to do it in..And then being in a car with a 10mth old for that long might not be so much fun..
So right now we are in limbo w our plans..and I am stressing out about it!
I want to call in "sick" one day and spend a day having fun with my kids. Weekends are just too busy and taking a random Tuesday to go to the zoo is much more fun and relaxing
I haven't used a single sick day all year and if I don't use them I lose them.
So there might be a lot of camping in our summer plans.
Went shopping for one last weekend...hubby is ready to buy. I'm not 100% convinced. We'll see.
FWIW, we both grew up camping and both love it (and used to tent camp together before kids). I know we'd love camping, but I just think it's a big commitment to actually buy a camper.
I am planning to start a baking blog to chronicle all the cookies, pies, cakes, etc that I make. I would also like to perfect my pie baking and cookie decorating skills.
I also plan to register for my 2nd 5k. I had to drop out of one last year when I got pregnant so I'd like to get back in shape enough to do one again in October.
As a family, I plan to do at least one fun thing outside every weekend AND walk or jog with DS everyday. We're also planning a relaxing "free" vacation to a Marriott Resort using our points. We just need to pick the Marriott and get it booked!
Have a med-free delivery in August. That was my goal with Eliza, but the long & complicated labor changed our birth plan.
Take advantage of our zoo and play museum memberships.
Take a day trip or weekend trip to Toronto or African Lion Safari in Canada.
Make new mom friends/get to know the new mom down the street.
Spend a lot of time in my parents pool with Eliza.
Spend lots of quality time as our little family of 3 before the newbie arrives!

We already took our vacation (Mexico) two weeks ago. The rest of the summer will be taking full advantage of our backyard and pool, which includes starting and finishing an addition to our already massive deck--the addition will be a small gated platform for entering and exiting the pool, big enough for maybe a couple of chairs and a small side table. We need to paint and finish decorating in Ethan's big boy room. Enjoy as much time together as a family before DS #2 arrives. The usual array of festivals etc. We might plan a cookout for our immediate neighbors (about 10 families)...we have a rather large smoker and DH is itching to smoke some ribs and a pork shoulder:)
Ironically I typed out a full page of summer goals on the last day of school. my biggest goals are finally setting up our office with shelving, reorganizing all closets and most importantly a daily special activity with DS. Seeing as we just got back from our activity it's time to tack the linen closet before DH gets home!
Get pregnant and enjoy my extra time off with G! Aside from my 4 day weekends, I am taking 2 weeks and bringing him to our beach house in Maine to just relax...no expectations.
Other than that, I want to catch up on reading the books that I've been meaning to read and get my house cleaned out.
I'd also like to get away with DH, even if just for a night.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
Re: What's on your "Summer Bucket List" ?
leaving the obvious aside... I'd like to:
-Throw a killer dinner party, with lots of friends laughing in our house, and staying late to have a bonfire.
-take a long weekend boat trip down the river, camping, enjoying my family
-plan another "big" trip for the fall, and have a weekend getaway with Davez

I want to spend a ton of time with my sister who has been out of country for a year.
And, once back in WA, I would love to go to the San Juans! Oh and Ocean Shores.
I want to sell some stuff on ebay. I'm a packrat and have stuff that could possibly make some money if I weren't too lazy to take some pics, etc.

Well number 1 is obvious...Get pregnant and stay that way!!
Aside from that we are spending a week at the Jersey shore and we already Disney booked for October : )
I also want to do some fun day trips with Katie- maybe Sesame Place, Dutch Wonderland and the Philly Zoo.
Not really pushing my limits or expanding my horizons but oh well
