I went yesterday after hearing about their natura paint line, no voc's even after they add the pigment to it. The guy said its also self priming. I didn't bother to ask him since I'd just rather ask my doc and see if anyone here has experience with this paint while pregnant? DH hates painting, I love it and I'm home more than him so Im curious if this paint is safe enough for me to use it with windows open. If any of you have heard this, done this ect please let me know. I'm planning to ask my doc next appt also.
thank you ![]()
Re: benjamin more paint?
I've done some research on this cause I love to paint & plan on painting while pregnant. The Benjamin Moore Aura line is safe to use as well as washable. Just make sure that where ever you are painting it is well ventilated.
Good luck! Can't wait to see pics of your nursery.
I used it before I was pregnant and loved it. So much better than the usual smelly paint. I'd open the windows and go for it.
I hear good things about zero-VOC Olympic Premium Paint which uses no VOC's in the dye, too.
We moved into an old house about 3 weeks before I got pregnant, so I've had to do a ton of painting. I haven't had any issues, but like you said, ask your doctor, too.
My everyday blog
I've used BM paint and don't think it's worth the money. We're using the Olympic NO-VOC from Lowe's for the nursery, and I will be helping with painting
ETA: We're also painting or master bedroom right now with the Olympic NO-VOC and it really is amazing! You can't smell a thing!
