Hubby and I have Sol on our list, what is a longer form?

Solomon doesn't flow with our last name as it has 8 letters and ends in an n.

The only thing I can think of is Hansel, which isn't an exact match, but I think Sol could still work as a nickname.

On a side note, I went to elementary school with twin girls named Sol Maria and Marisol, so Sol makes me think of a girl.

Sol is a stand alone girl's name in Spanish (meaning "sun"), so this is my first thought. I agree with pp, go with Saul.
