Tidal Basin Paddle Boats

in D.C. Area Babies

Anyone do this? My niece and nephew (6 & 10) are coming to visit and I'm looking for something new for them to do. We have hit most of the big things in the last few years (they come at least twice).

I've heard they are difficult to paddle, but thought it would be a fun outing. Any suggestions or know where we could park? I was hoping we could park over by Haines Point and walk, but I have no idea if that is realistic. TIA
