I took off Fri to spend the day with him; Thur night he woke up screaming and I let him CIO, but it was hard and I told myself this was the last night I'm letting him CIO even if he keeps waking up, obviously he's not ready to STTN and I couldn't take it anymore. He cried for a very long time, then an hour later woke up and cried for a little and put himself back to sleep, then again, then at 5am I went and got him and he was burning up, OMG I felt so guilty!! I let him CIO when he needed me and wasn't well!!
Friday we were running all over and he had bad naps and was so cranky and just off, he had a fever again and I gave him Tylenol, switching off with Motrin. His gums were so so swollen and I was sure he was teething, I talked to the nurse at the pedi's office and decided not to bring him in and I didn't want him going to the Dr on his b-day!! He had a few good moments on Sat but was mostly unhappy. He was a little better on Sunday but Monday I decided to take him in anyway. Well, he is cutting his molars but also has hand-foot-and-mouth disease. We had such a rough year, I guess it was too much to hope for a great b-day. He was not a very happy boy on his b-day and wouldn't even touch the cake (he's never met a food he does not like!).
Here are some pix from the party, I am no tracy042206 and would never claim to be even close I did a blue "theme" and the word theme is a stretch. We had a time capsule which was a brilliant idea (patting myself on the back). DD had the best time!

we plan to re-do the smashing of the cake (as we did with DD) in a couple of days
Re: DS' b-day: (last) AW and a vent (long)
Aww he is adorable, even if he was sick. I hope he's feeling better now.
