New and need help now with menapur

Hi,

I am supposed  to start my menapur tomorrow and was told to take 1/2 cc of water and three vials of the meanpur .Does this sound right.I have a call into the Dr and hope she calls back soon, but is it going to be too thick.

I always mixed 1ml of 0.9% saline with 3 vials of Menopur (mixing one, drawing that up & injecting into the next vial and so forth) & it wasn't thick at all. It will be as thin as the saline but more concentrated with medicine (if that makes sense?)

You can use 1/2 cc with three vials.  I was using 2 vials with 1/2 cc and when I upped to 3 vials my nurse said I could do a little more if I wanted so it wasn't so concentrated but it didn't really matter.  It's not thick at all...the menopur dissolves as soon as the saline hits it.

You can mix up to 8 vials into 1cc, the only difference is that the last few dissolve slower. Please see the info blog in my sig for more information about the vets board.
