I think all babies do that at some point. Caroline still does it occassionally, and it still wakes me up...and I get all confused thinking I need to go in there, until DH pulls me back into bed and makes me go back to sleep, lol.
My DS did that and continues to do so. When I've read up on night terrors, what he displays doesn't really seem to rise to the level - but it's still concerning! I've played around with light in his room thinking that maybe he doesn't like the dark, but I haven't been able to figure out any rhyme or reason to it. Definitely strange!

Same here. Will has done this from time to time since he was about 2 months old. I'm not sure what triggers it. I don't think it's night terrors yet, but maybe a dream about his bottle being empty or there being a worldwide berry shortage! When he was little, DH would say he must have been dreaming about a world without boobs!
My LO has done this, too (this is one reason that I love my video monitor!). It may have to do with a dream, or just a stress relief. I think night terrors begin when a baby is a bit older. My LO has had a couple night terrors--and he is not able to settle down on his own. Heck, one night, after one, he was keyed up that we ended up going for a walk (outside) at 2:00 am, in my transitional neighborhood (it's fine during the day, but not ideal for middle of the night roamings!).
I think that as long as your LO is able to settle back to sleep and self-soothe, there is little cause for alarm. Though, if it happens multiple times a night, there might be more to it.

Berry shortage?
Alex has been dreaming about that formula shortage since he was 2 months old. On the flip side sometimes when he's sleeping, he looks SOOOO happy that we say he's he's dreaming of floating down a river of formula.
Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!

Dude. My child is obsessed with berries these days. He even knows the look of the plastic containers they come in and knows when DH pulls them out of the refrigerator, regardless of how far away he is. If Will sees the berries, he better get the berries or else!!
