Pee on an air mattress?

I posted this on the cleaning & organizing board, but thought I would ask the ladies here as well. 

To make a long story short, DH's brother is staying with us a few nights so his mom can go to work. School is out for summer and his summer program has not started yet. I guess my pregnancy brain kicked in, and I totally forgot to remind him to go pee before bed....and woke up to a pee soaked air mattress. 

It is cloth on the top, so that took a brunt of the wetness. I wiped it down with soap and water, rinsed it with hot water, and then sprayed it with vinegar water. I let it dry out, but it still smells like pee. The sucky part is that it is brand new!! We have only used it a few times, and payed almost $60 for it.

Ruined? Or how do I get that smell out!

I just had the same thing happen with DD. I did exactly what you did and there is no smell. My vinegar water is 75/25 mix.

Hmm...I am surprised the vinegar didn't work. I have used this stuff called Kids and Pets that seems to work really well.

Dh was the last to make the vinegar mix, I think I am going to try mix up a new batch and spray it down again. 

Was not the best wake up call at 5:30am!

You could try a baking soda, vinegar paste. After cleaning it, let it sit out in the direct sun today to let it dry.

I think I will give this a try.

We are not slacking on sun with it being 104 today!
