WTF is going on with my kids? The pedi just called; Drew failed his hearing test @ his well visit on Friday. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, but this combined with his hips and him not walking and talking is making me super worried. He is such a happy baby, I'm just scared to death something is wrong. It's like we just got over Ava's lump scare and were wrapping our brains around the hip dysplasia and now we are thrown this. I know that in relative terms this is nothing. But you don't want anything to be wrong with your kids. So we are seeing an audiologist @ Children's but can't be seen till 7/20. Thank god for Zoloft. =(

Maybe it is a boy thing! J was that way too, we went through the big head, torticollis, allergies the works. Hope you get some answers and things start to look up.

I know how stressed you must be.  Colin failed his too on the left side (he also failed it at birth and then passed it). At his 2 year they decided it was because he had fluid in his ear. So now we go back for a re-test.

Could just be gunk in his ear.  Alex had it, and we noticed at 3 that he wasn't hearing us.  The ENT gave him tubes to clear it out and he's been fine ever since.  Try not to worry - and try to find an ENT who can see you sooner!
