B/G Nurseries - Pls share yours

I really love the idea of b/g twins, until I started thinking about the nursery. I am so conflicted on where to even start.

Please share your b/g nursery so that I can get some inspiration.

Thinking I might have b/g..i picked out bedding i really liked..& then went from there.. start looking at bedding for cribs & maybe you'll get different ideas

We went with Bumble Bees.  We chose to paint the room a sky blue color with white trim and accent with greens, yellows, white and black.  This is the pattern, from Babies R Us:

I really wanted traditional pink & blue.  I got their bedding from PotteryBarn Kids....they have some really adorable, classic styles that come in pink & blue.  For window covering, I just did one of their white valances.  I had their names made in wooden letters that coordinated w/ the bedding, from an Etsy seller.  It really turned out cute.

Before we found out the genders, I thought they were b/g and was already planning.  : )  I really liked this one:

alphabet from migi- we used the valances, sheets & crib skirts & then decorated w/ alphabet cards I got on amazon that are in the same color scheme (the nursery has a shelf that lines two walls about 18 inches from the ceiling so they are up there.

Don't base your decorating around crib bedding.  You really only need sheets, and anything other than that and a crib skirt is a safety risk anyway.  Look for rugs, wall art, and so on that inspire you.

We bought this too!  We painted the walls a dark khaki color and are in the process of adding a white tree silhouette in the corner.  I also bought two T's (we are naming them Teagan and Tristan) and am painting them to match their blue or pink and brown polka dot sheets.  We wanted to go with a simple look.

I totally agree with you, I dreaded doing my nursery and I didn't like it until now.  And now I LOVE it!

I started with a fabric and based it off of that.   I also agree with PP, that the bedding is not what you should base it off of bc most only/should use sheet and crib skirt.  Anyway, here are my PIPs...

Sorry that the colors suck so bad!  But the scheme was greens, yellows, purples, and browns.
