And if it did, what was your situation? I have PCOS and have been ovulating with Clomid, but haven't been able to get pregnant. DH is perfectly normal. I'm just wondering if this might be the direction I need to go into....
I also have PCOS. We tried for several cycles of Clomid alone with no luck. My Re suggested IUI so "more swimmers" actually make it inside of uterus, to increase our chances. Clomid wasn't working that great for me(lining wasn't great, and had 1 MC), so we went to injectables and IUI. It worked pretty quickly and we have our son who is now 5 years. We used injectable and IUI when TTC #2, and it took 3 cycles, she is now 6 months old. Good Luck!
I would highly recomend using an RE and not just a regular OBGYN. My OB said "you have PCOS" and wanted to just put me on clomid. I received second opinion from an RE, and he also found out I have hypothyroidism- which is common with PCOS and effects TTC.
Clomid alone wasn't working for me. I always ovulated on my own, just late.
Our first IUI cycle worked. I was on 100mg of Met, Gonal-F, Ovidrel trigger and we did B2B IUI's. Gave us our DS1 Also, I triggered with just one follie
I was anovulatory. We did one cycle with just clomid, a trigger and progesterone. Then we added IUI for the next 2 cycles and I finally got pregnant. DS's SA was normal so there was no reason to do it necessarily except that it would increase our chances and since we had insurance coverage we figured, why not? I dont know if I would have done it so soon if I didnt have the coverage but in the end, it worked for us!
I have PCOS. I did not ovulate on clomid, but did on Femara. DH was fine as well. I got pregnant on my first IUI. How many cycles have you ovulated on Clomid and not gotten pregnant? I think most REs have a limit of the number of clomid cycles before having you move on to something else.
Good luck!

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I think we've done Clomid about 5x now without getting pregnant...but some months my husband and I weren't even in the same city at the same time due to travel. It works in that it definitely makes me ovulate...just no pregnancy yet. This past month we did clomid, a trigger shot, and TI--still nothing. I talked to my OB and he wants to do a laparascopy to see if there is any endometriosis and if not, he's referring me to an RE.
